Pregnancy Tests: How did you spend the minutes waiting for results?

The pregnancy test for my first child was in my doctor's office, so I spent those 5 minutes bouncing my legs and staring at a beige wall while praying for the news.

When I suspected I was pregnant with my daughter, I took a home pregnancy test. I peed, went to wash a few dishes, and ran back into the bathroom in exactly 4 minutes (I wanted to make sure I waited enough time!)

How did you pass those incredibly nerve-wracking few minutes while you were waiting for the pink lines to appear?

  • I used a first response at 15 DPO, and it turned positive in like 2 seconds... So there was no waiting for me. As soon as I set it down it was two lines dark, and bright.

  • I used the answer test and I was so anxious to know that i sat there holding the test and waited. It changed pretty fast. I was 5 days bmp.

  • Honestly?  I sat there on the toilet saying over and over "Please don't be positive.  Please don't be positive."   I'm happy and excited now,  but I certainly wasn't trying to have another baby.

  • I started to put lotion on my arms and got no further than my shoulder and just sat, with globs of lotion on my arms, and stared at the test for a couple minutes in disbelief! (we tried for over a year!)

  • Jumped in the shower I had to go to work, so I peed and jumped in the shower. When I saw a faint line then took one at work. This time it was digital and it came up pregnant in no time

  • For either of my children when I took the test at home and right when I peed on it the positive came up so I didn't have to worry about anything else

  • Well...for me taking a pregnancy test was routine every month for the past two years. Well this time I was late...I thought it was from stress and dental anxiety. I peed on the digital pg test and set it down...it said come back in 3-4 minutes.  Well I went and brushed my teeth and started getting dressed...then as I was packing lunch for work ( about 7 minutes later ) I realized that I forgot all about the test. So I go back just to look at it and "PREGNANT" ! I did a double take...and then I started to cry with happiness ! :)

  • i have like super pregnant pee.

both pregnancies i got the positive line within seconds of peeing on the stupid stick. each pregnancy i took about 3, and everytime before i even pulled it up to my face after peeing on it, it would be positive.

  • I took a home test and watched the urine saturate along the stick and the second pink line appear before my eyes. I mean, I just made sure it was still there after 4 mins. lol.
