So on and off all day i have been having menstrual like cramping and now i am having lower back pain. I read that it could be pre term labor but i dont have any other symptoms. I have medicaid so i dont want to go in if i dont have to. Should i go anyway?

I would sit down and drink some water, try to relax for an hour, mayb take a warm bath, and see if it stops.  With no other symptoms it might just be stress or muscle pains, i got those around that time with both of my previous pregnancies.

If it doesn't stop call your doc explain the situation, and ask for his advice.

Good luck!

I am not sure... I was at 3cm, and didn't even know so I guess I am not too great at figuring pre-term labor. I would try to relax, and see if the pain calms down. If the pain gets worse I would definitely call OB, or go to the ER. Better safe than sorry.  Good Luck, I hope its just a false alarm.

Oh it may also be braxton hicks too!  sometimes those really get to ya! just try and relax, hang in there and don't get too worried over it, most likely its nothing to need to go to the doc about :).

Dehydration can cause contractions. Drink some water and rest.
