Need some opinions... pg symptoms 4 weeks after ectopic

I had surgury to remove an ectopic pregnancy 4 weeks ago.  2 weeks ago my hCg levels were way down from 2,581 to 24.  Since then I have developed some pregnancy symptoms.  My husband and I have been using condoms, but not *starting* with them, if you catch my drift.  I've been feeling a little nausea in the evenings, peeing a little more, being SUPER tired, a little moody and cranky, and my nose has been acting up, but I'm not coming down with anything (which was a symptom of pregnancy with my daughter).  I don't intuitively feel that I'm pregnant, which was a symptom of my ectopic.  My basal temperature is up to where it usually is post ovulation, but I don't know when it spiked because I wasn't able to chart for a while (bad sleeping arrangements made it impossible to get 3 consecutive hours of sleep and I kept forgetting to take my temp in the morning).

I was supposed to go today to have my blood drawn to make sure my levels were back down below 5, but I got called in to work instead.  I'm afraid that if I test it will either be too soon to tell, or it will be a false positive because of the ectopic.  I have to have an ultrasound as early as possible to make sure that any future pregnancies are in my uterus, so I need to know if I'm pregnant.

What do you guys think I should do?  If I take a test and it's positive, there's a good chance I will look like an idiot by going in to request an ultrasound, as there is a chance that my levels are high enough still to make a test positive without there actually being a pregnancy.  If I don't test and wait too long I risk rupturing an ectopic pregnancy.

Of course, my chance of being pregnant is pretty small anyway, but then why am I so freakin' tired all the time?!

I would ask them to do a blood test.  Call and ask them on monday.  It's important.

Good luck!
