I was wondering if you show up to the doctor and are dialated to a certain amount, like 6cm, but not contracting that regularly, will they send you to the hospital?

I think it depends on the dr. At 36 weeks I was 4 cm with no contractions...then at 38 weeks I was 5 cm with no contractions and they said that if I didn't go that week and I wanted they would induce me but I ended up going the next day!

I think most doctors would keep you if you are 6 cm and not contracting.. and 4 cm with mild contractions.
