So I just started my second trimester (first pregnancy) and I feel like someone has turn my brain off. I know that it is normal to have some forgetfulness but how much is normal. I mean I was driving to my parents the other day and I half way there I forgot what I was doing, where I was going and why. I had to pull over and call DH to ask why I left the house. The worse part is that the only reason for me to be on that road was to get to my parents. I forget the day of week, what time I have to be places, where I need to be and where I put my lists that I make to remind myself of everything. I am a college student and I leave class or read a paragraph and have no memory what was any of it was about. This is so unlike me, before I got pregnant I didn't even need a list or to reread anything. How much forgetfulness is normal and how long does it last?
From what I gather you''ll have that until you deliver. I've had the same problem through out. I'm almost 34 weeks and I can't wait.
It's called pregnancy brain. Which you can only try and eat good solid foods and get plently of rest to cut down on that.
I understand I'm taking some college courses online, and the homework is alot more work. I also work full time. So, I know that trying to take college courses while pregnant is a little more difficult. Just try and pace yourself, and don't worry, just have your hubby help you when you've lost your brain for a bit.
Good luck!!
