ok so i called my son and my daughters pedi this morning to tell them i wouldnt be able to make my sons appointment today and i needed to rescedule. she asked what was the appointment for and i said a check up and to get more shots. she seemd a little confused so i exsplained we had missed our 12 month check up and had gotten 1/2 our 12 months shots and 1/2 our 15 month shots at his 15 month cehck up, and this appointment was to chatch up on shots and to check up on his eczema.

she then goes to inform me that we have had 10 no show or re scheduled appointment.

i said yeah, whats your point,

she then tell me that normally they discarge patients after soo many no shows or call outs-

so your telling me i need to find a new dr then? she said they would send a letter before anythign happend. but she was just telling me.

well i aprreciate you telling me. however its really not fair. i almost always always call and say sorry we cant make it. things come up!

not only do i have two kids and pregnant but with my husbands job sometimes we just cant and i mean CANT get to the appointment.we only ahve one car!

this si not how i wanted to start my morning.

so hubby and i have agreed we will enroll the kids in on post dr care, and be done with these crazy ass dr's. : <

makes me sad cause i kinda liked them. especially this new dr we have.

So sorry sometimes it is the office person just being a BITCH so you should call and speak to the dr directly about your concerns and that you enjoy their service!

At our Dr's office, you only get 3 strikes and then you are out. So 10 is pretty generous. I don't think it is unreasonable for them to expect 24 hours notice on a reschedule. I am sure they have other people who would be happy to fill in those slots, but probably can't do it on such short notice.

your right but is it my fault that sometimes lets face it shit happpends?

my husbands job is very demanding and if his commander says sorry you need to reschedule then sorry i got to reschedule - end of story point blank -

ive just never heard of a  after so many  you get discarged as a patient.

That is ludicrous especially if you call and let them know that you cant make it. I had the same issue with my OB in my first pregnancy I missed my appointment and was dropped. One appointment mind you. No I did not call to reschedule but I was laid up in the hospital right across the street because the OB told me to go to the hospital. I could have returned because it was claimed to be a miscommunication but I chose to find a different doc.

I know you're not going to like this answer (because I'm not agreeing with you, lol)..but a 10 no show rule sounds incredibly fair and generous to me. Most offices have a 3 or 4 strike rule.

Your husbands unit &/or the FRG should be able to help you if you are still having issues getting to & from Dr apt. I understand how hard it can be as a military wife between the crazy work schedules and limited vehicles. My son has sever medical needs & I know that before we got divorced my ex's unit helped me a lot. Just be careful some military Dr.s will call family services if you are behind in getting your children shots. 1 Dr contacted family services on me w/o knowing my sons issues...if she would have bothered to look she would have seen my sons medical issues caused him to be delayed in getting his shots & his immune sys couldnt handle some of the shots. If you need someone to vent to you can always message me. Good luck in your pregnancy.  Jill
