Anyone know a good cough medicine that is safe and effective?  My daughter has a bad cough that is keeping her up at night.

i use mucinex too, but i mostly use the triaminic night time.  i give them 1 1/2 teaspoons for my 4yr old.  it works great, give it to him during the day too.

I know it sounds strange but try putting some Vicks rub on the feet right before bedtime and then put her socks on, it has actually worked for me.

Hylands Cough and Cold or Cold and Cough(one of those combos)...its all natural.....or Dimatapp Cold and Cough....i just give 1.6ml. Also the vicks on the bottom of the feet help, just put socks on over it...or vicks on the chest with a  light shirt on.

That's all I was told to do. Supressing  the cough can turn into something more serious fast. Kids need to cough to get rid of the mucus.

We use Delsym, but I'm not sure what age it's safe for. (DS is 5, almost 6).

If you want to go natural, you can try Cherry Bark extract or Horehound. That's what we give DD (23 months).

We use Delsym too. I know they have some for younger kids I just can't think of where.
