I know some moms don;t like their kids play with their phones but I found their instinctive familiarity with the iPhone such a wonder and opportunity. so i began to dabble with using iphone as a teaching tool (in moderation of cse! :)

I follow the Moms With Apps - a community group, it seems, made up with parents of the same interest in using iPhone for learnign and education. Found a good app yesterday which was (free and good! - really rare). so i thought i shared more.

Stickery - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/stickery-mermaid-waters/id421951789?mt=8

-- new app apparently.  kids love stickers! so this was really fun for mine,, the games were simple to understand too, i helped with the first few but my DD was pretty auto-pilot after a while

I Hear Ewe - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/i-hear-ewe-animal-sounds-for/id304093970?mt=8

- an old classic i always use in restaurants. cracked them up at first but now still of use to distract them for a while

My First Puzzles (lite) - http://itunes.apple.com/nz/app/my-first-puzzles-lite-version/id347866925?mt=8

-- good for simple memory work

Music studio lite -  http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/music-studio-lite/id378356692?mt=8

-- i dunno if mine will be a budding beethoven, thought it was worth a shot :)

Some paid ones that were worth it:

Whizzit 123  (paid) - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/whizzit-123/id323246993?mt=8

Monkey Preschool lunchbox  (paid) - http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/monkey-preschool-lunchbox/id328205875?mt=8

Love to hear what other moms think or download :)
