Good morning everyone!!! I'm Renee. I'm 30 yrs old and I live in Winona, MN with my husband and kids. I am mom to Hunter (9yrs-3rd grader) and Wyatt (4yrs-Pre-K). I'm horrible at introductions, but I'm an open book. Feel free to ask me anything!! I look forward to talking to you guys and getting to know you!!

Hello! I'll ask the first question...what do you like the most & least about having such an age gap between your kids?

Hi everyone!!! Thanks for the warm welcome! Sorry I haven't been on much. But I'm here now! :-)

And madmarrsmommy: I have 3. The 1st best thing about them being as far apart as they are is that for me being an only child, I wasn't sure how to be a mom to more than one. (If that makes sense, I never has sibling rivalry or chaos or anything like that, so I was really nervous as to how to handle it) So it gave me time to learn.

The 2nd best thing is that my 9yr old had open heart surgery when he was three so I was able to dedicate my time to making sure he had his mom when he needed me and I didn't have to worry about other kid needs. (if that makes sense...it sounded better in my head! LOL!!)

The 3rd is my 4yr old has high-functioning autism, and when he was younger he was a handful and I needed to focus a lot of time and energy on him, so it was nice that Hunter had school and friends to fill the gaps.

The 2 bad things: 1) They're not in the same school for very long.  And 2) I feel like I sometimes depend on Hunter to help me too much since he's older. But I've gotten a LOT better about that!

Thanks!!!!
