Meet CafeMom's Featured Mom: Whitney15

CafeMom is excited to announce a way we're featuring many of our terrific moms. Selected moms (now including some of our very CafeMom staff members!) will respond to our "Mom of the Day" interview questions, and their interviews will then be posted in the group that they spend the most time in.

Our current featured mom, Whitney15, frequents the Military Wives: Unleashed and Toddlers & Preschoolers groups.

1. What has been your defining moment as a mom so far? 

Probably when I went on a family vacation to Disneyland....at the end of the day, I had realized that I did not ride a single "adult" ride....the entire day had been about my kiddo, and I loved it!   

2. What group do you most frequently hang out in on CafeMom?

Military Wives: Unleashed and Toddlers & Preschoolers. 

3. What do you like most about CafeMom?

This is a place where I can interact with other moms, which is not something I get to do that often! It's also nice to be able to see different opinions about things, and it's always wonderful when you give advice and you find out that it worked! 

4. A mom's spare time is precious (if it exists at all!). How do you spend yours? (Aside from on CafeMom, of course.)

Scrapbooking and any kind of crafty fun stuff. 

5. What are your favorites:
Book: Anything by Jodi Picoult, but especially The Tenth Circle, Nineteen Minutes, and The Pact. What The Night Knows and Intensity by Dean Koontz, and Imperfect Justice by Jeff Ashton. 
Movie: Serendipity, Just Go With It. 
Song: Anything by Adele!!! I'm also a sucker for the Glee Cast lol. 
Food: Mexican. Anything Mexican. 
Place to travel to: We own a beach house in Port Aransas, Texas....and it's the perfect getaway spot! 

6. Which celebrity mom would you most like to hang out with, and why?

Victoria Beckham...her kids seem pretty normal...but I would love to chat fashion with her! 

7. If you could give a new mom one piece of advice, what would it be?

Listen to your mom, but make sure that your decisions are YOUR decisions. 

8. If you had to choose, what single word best sums you up?

Eclectic. 

9. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? And if you work, what's your job?

I wanted to be an attorney just like my mom. Now I am a Student Services Coordinator at a technical school in my area, and I love it!  

10. If you could trade places with any one person for a day, who would it be?

Anyone that was really, really rich and happy lol. I would spend as much money as I could in one day!
