At what age did you let your toddler have a small stuffed animal or small pillow to sleep with? With our oldest i cant remember and with our middle i think it was right at 2 that she started sleeping with a small stuffed animal and now our youngest is almost 28 months old.Whats the safest age?

Hmm Im not sure. I debate when we will introduce a pillow but right now she is only 15 months and sleeps like a rock without one.

Not sure about the animal.  My DD had a little animal in her crib for a while.  After we stopped swaddling her at 8 months she started pulling the blanket up over her head for comfort.  She now uses her favorite puppy.  No pillows until she moved to her day bed at 2 1/2.  I always heard you weren't supposed to have pillows in the crib but I can't remember why and what age that's not an issue anymore.  She never needed a pillow anyway so I just didn't bother.  I wouldn't be worried about an animal or anything over 2 years old...

Thanks for responding everyone! I went ahead and put a small stuffed animal in there tonight:) I will wait on the pillow because like another Mommy said on here he does fine wothout it.The only reason i wanted to put a stuufed animal in there is cuz i thought maybe it would make him feel more cozy (not that hes not anyway.)He wakes up sometimes talking in his sleep or fussing a little and goes back to bed and thought this may help.If he dont act like he wants it tomorrow i just wont put it in bed with him. Thanks again!
