My oldest dd and ds have always been taller then other kids. I think my  4 year old dd is average but everyone always says he is tall.. she is 42 in tall and weighs 36lbs  so just to be curious how big are your 4 year olds?

My son is 42 or 43 inches tall. He was 44 pounds, but lost five (down to 39) when he got sick. I could imagine he's gained all of it back and then some because he has been eating none stop for a week now. He has also grown about an inch since January (we mark his height on the wall).

DD2 is 43 and 43. She's a little on the tall side. Now DD1 is 6 and she is 57 and 60. Needless to say she's huge compared to the rest of her k-5 class.

Ds is around 44" and is 43lbs and he will be 4 on July 6th. He is currently in a growth spurt.

42" is 90% for height and 36lbs is 75% for a 4 yr old girl.

Quoting CreziaMommyTo2:

DS at 4 was 45" and 36 lbs  he hasnt gone for his 5 year check up, but he was considered average.

45" is off of the charts for a 4 yr old boy for height but 36 lbs is 50% for weight.
