I buy clothes way in advance for my son. When they are on sale, garage sales, etc. I hate paying full price for something he isn't going to wear for very long..He currently wears 24mo/2T but I have clothes up to 4T for him already. Does anyone else do this and where do you find the best deals?
I really don't but my son grows randomly. He sometimes goes up 2 sizes in a year. He's doing that this year. He's going on 5 and will be wearing size 6 pants.
I've done this from the very beginning. I keep a box in the attic of too big clothes and go through them as needed. We have HUGE kids consignment sales around here twice a year so I'm always buying for the next season, and if I have some time to kill I will look for the next size or two up to see if I can get some great deals.
I do this for both my dd's(6 & 4), as they are pretty predictable in their sizes, so I buy for the next season at the end of the current one(ie:end of summer sales on clothes for next summer). The end of season sales are the best! I go to Ross, Old Navy, Target, Walmart, & The Children's Place. It seems like the more expensive stores actually have the better sales-like "Place" & Gymboree, for example.
