W moved into a toddler bed at 13 months and a loft bed at 3.5.
My son is 2 1/2 and is still in his crib. He cannot climb out of his crib, and he is not potty trained so there is no urgency for us. We have told him, as soon as he is potty trained, he can move to a big boy bed (which I hope is an incentive for him).
My dd was 2 when I moved her to a toddler bed....I will most likely do the same for my youngest.
My dd is 2.5 and hasn't tried to climb out of her crib yet! It's her safe haven... We have a single bed in her room w/ princess bedding, which she picked out herself. Nope she won't sleep in it. Oh well... at least I know I'm getting my monies worth out of this crib. : )
My oldest was almost 3 and went from a crib to a twin bed. My daughter was about 2 1/2 when she went from crib to a toddler bed, they both did great. My youngest is just over 2 1/2 and will be in her crib as long as possible, she already is a horrible sleeper and we are not looking forward to havng to deal with her getting up at night and getting out of bed.
My oldest & youngest (both girls) were in a toddler bed at 2 and my son was 3.5. He never tried getting out and slept great so we just left him in it. We finally changed his bed over because his baby sister was coming and he was getting a new room.
