Anyone potty training at or around 14 months?

Anyone potty training at or around 14 months?

My mom told me she was potty trained at 12 months.  She had 5 brothers and sisters, her mom was pretty much a single mom, and they were dirt poor.

For grins, I bought a potty right after Scarlett turned one.  I've kept it out in the living room.  She has played with it.

Well two days ago, we both woke up, and I announced I had to go potty.  I think I have said this to her on numerous occasions.  She knows where mommy goes potty.  She started walking to the bathroom.  She loves the toliet paper.  I ran and grabbed her potty.  I sat it down.  I sat down to go, and I pulled her pants and diaper off.  I helped her sit, and I tapped/gently pressed on her lower tummy and said go potty.  She has been in the bathroom with me numerous times and she can hear the sounds and what not.  She knows something is happening. Lol.

Well she went!!  So I wiped her.. We clapped and cheered, I tried to snap a picture..  and I dumped the bowl.  She flushed.  We washed hands, which is her favorite part along with the flush!

I didn't have any time to focus on it yesterday, but tonight she took off her diaper, so we took her to the potty and talked about the potty.  We sat her down and she went AGAIN!  Wahoo.

She quite often takes off her diaper.. Well only when we have the velcro ones on her.  They were on clearance.  We used BumGenius cloth diapers.

So I'm writing here, one, cause I'm proud and excited, two, cause I'm curious if anyone else has attempted potty training at this age, and three, because I cloth diaper, and I would like to know if anyone has any recommendations for cloth diaper trainers.

Thanks so much in advanced.  If anyone has IG there is a blur of baby and potty, Ha ha.. My username is hottlt (my blog's initials, holding on to the little things.)

My daughter is also 14 months old. We got her a potty Thursday and I put her on it every time I go. She went once Friday and once tonight. Its very exciting. Hoping she will keep making progress.

Thanks love!  I totally forgot about that.. That they are physically ready when they wake up from a nap dry.  Thanks for reminding me.  And yeah, you're right and that is a good idea to hold off on trainers until she is going three times a day.

THANK SO MUCH for all you advice!!

AWE YAY!

The hard thing for us, is that we left the potty at home, and we've been gone for a week, so hopefully we can pick back up where we left off Tuesday!

Good luck! Keep me updated!! :)

Congrats! Im potty training my son but he is 3. Up until now he was not showing any signs of readiness. And he resisted even sitting on his potty.

My 18 month old is starting to use the potty :)  Some days she does really good and other days she's just not as into it.
