Here's another idea I did one yr. cut out shapes like stars and tape to a tshirt. Fill sprayer bottles with blue & red paint (and water so it's liquid enough to spray). RIT DYE. Spray the shirts how ever u like. Let dry. Remove stars and that part will remain white like the shirt. Looks great! ETA: I did this like 10 yrs ago - and so I looked it up online and found this pic - this is what we did! But we used RIT DYE (you find in it the grocery store.....its only a few bucks) and not paint.
