My 2 yr old son is TERRIFIED of getting a haircut. We've tried scissors, we've tried clippers/buzzer, i'ved tried showing him and letting him cut my hair, a dolls hair, letting him use scissiors to cut paper, letting him watch soomeone else get their hair cut, distracting hime, bribing him, everything we can thing of. his hair grows so fast and its really hot down here in south FL so he gets so sweaty and he has curly hair to boot! what do i do????

No clue!  Sorry.  Daughter was terrified for a long while!!!  I started getting her bangs trimmed and around her head a lil before age 2yr.  She's now 3.5yr and will fuss only if she's in a mood when I take her (usually first thing in the morning).  I had to literally hold her head while the hairdresser cut her hair.  You may have to do the same for yours.  :(  My mom even had to have my lil brother sit in her lap and hold him until he was around 5yr.  Now daughter knows if she acts up she doesn't get a sucker (or some treat).  Good luck and God bless................

when we do get enough patience to try i have to hold his head, hubby won't help me anymore because he doesn't like hearing him scream and is scared that he's hurting him or might hurt him

We used to hold him down and do it. Sounds terrible but it was the only way to.get his hair cut. And I'm not allowing my boys to have long hair. Now he is 4 and only fusses a little bit about it.

have you tried cutting after he falls asleep in his car seat? that is how I used to cut DS's hair and fingernails.

Have him sit on someones lap so they can hold him, then buzz it all off. That way it will take longer to grow out and have less haircuts.

I can't take my son to get his hair cut ot he'll cry the whole time. Daddy takes him and he sits on Daddy's lap while he get's his hair cut. Then Daddy gives him a small bag of his favorite treat ( gummy worms) and he sits to get his hair cut. We've been doing this since he was 15 months old. He's 3 now.

We buzz at home and they both sit on my lap and we are all happy :)

We vowed not to cut our sons hair until he turned 3. His curls are too cute to cut. :)
