My 20 month old is taking her pamper off. She has been for 2 days now. She peed on the floor yesterday LOL.

That means we are ready to potty train right? I'm going to get her potty Tuesday.

Why not? I say go for it. We have been diaperless for a week and a half now and I love it. My DD will be 3 in September and Wednesday a week ago wouldn't get dressed. We didn't have any place to go so I thought- We are gonna do it today... we have had a ton of accidents and she still doesn't poop in the potty but as of the last 4 or 5 days, no mor peeing on the floor! YAY! I told her we couldn't watch Dora until she peed in the potty and boy, that worked.

Good Luck to you!

I think it means she has developed the fine motor skills and figured out she can take her diaper off. Just taking off a diaper doesn't really mean they are ready. Check out these other signs of readiness. Perhaps she has these to and is ready!

Does she wake up dry from naps?

Can she stay dry for up to 2 or 3 hours during the day?

Does she poop at regular, predictable times?

Can she sit quietly for up to 5 minutes?

Can she take her pants off and pull them back up again?

Can she follow one step directions like "put this in the trash" or "bring me your shoes?"

Everything except bring me your shoes. She's a little behind. We are starting early intervention soon. She does throw stuff in the trash if you ask or on her own.

That is not the only sign to look for when potty training. I don't think it would hurt to try but  I wouldn't force it.  Almost all toddlers go through the stage of taking their diaper off, without being ready to use the potty.

We did the Naked and 75 method...meaning that you let them go naked while at home and potty traing and then pay $75 to have your carpets cleaned.  We have hard wood floors so I saved teh $75.  This method worked like a charm for us and we were potty train in 2 days!  DS was almost 3 when we did this.
