Toddlers and Tricycles. Advice needed please.
So, I made a post a little while ago about soccer balls for my almost 3 year old dd. Thanks so much for your help with that. We got her a size 3 soccer ball as suggested. However, the soccer ball is only part of dd's birthday this year. We also want to get her a tricycle.
My question is, what kind should we get her? I've seen several different kinds of trikes and I'm just want some feedback or suggestions about the tricycles you might have purchased for your kids. I have some listed below, and I tried to think of the pros and cons of each. If you have had any experience with any of these, please let me have some feed back. I'd really appreciate it.
Here is the good ole fashioned Radio Flyer. I know that this would work, but I feel like $60.00 is a lot of money to spend on a trike that she might use for a year or two before she is big enough to have a bike. It is not very adjustable, but it looks very durable.
My next option is to get one of the these little plastic type trikes. I know that my dd would enjoy a tricycle like this, but I'm worried about durability and again the fact that she might out grow this type of of thing very fast. It is not adjustable in any way. The plus is that it is inexpensive in comparison to other trikes I've seen.

Then there is this Radio Flyer. It is a small bicycle, but it comes with training wheels. I'm afraid that it might be too big for my dd, but I like the fact that she will be able to keep this for a good while. The training wheels will come off, and viola....she has a bike that she can ride for a few more years.

We got my daughter a radio flyer one. I think it was called a roadster but I could be wrong because when I search that, something else comes up. Its one where they sit kind of back but their legs are way out in front. Kind of a laid back kind of look if that makes sense. My Husband says its adjustable.
May I ask what makes you think she isn't big enough for an actual bike? The little 12" bikes are pretty small. I think my tiny son fit it when he was about 3, and I mean he was tiny. He would have been wearing an 18-24m in clothing. He's still a small child, lol. He can't fit the 16" bike yet, but he 12 is great.
I would maybe consider the bikes... You'd be surprised. The trikes are neat and all, but my son goes after his bike long before he goes after the trike we have.
