My 3 year old girl has stopped telling us every time she poops. When she does tell us, we use wipes to clean her good. But she doesn't do a good job herself and has been getting irritated down there. How have you ladies taught your toddlers to do a good job wiping themselves?

I taught her to squat, bend and wipe. I still clean her every now and then though.

Good question.  It just takes practice.  My 5 1/2 year old still needs some help sometimes.  We've taught him to use toilet paper until he looks clean and then he can use 2 wipes to make sure.

Yeah me 4 year old ds asks for help everytime. I know they don't help at preschool though so he needs to learn quickly.

My 2.9 year old really wants to wipe himself. We let him use the wipe. Give him gentle coaching sometimes and always praise him. Then we wipe and check and show him the results. So, he is learning. I think with a girl it might be harder because you have more to deal with. Gentle repetition and encouragement. :)
