Kickapoo and the Great Pootastrophe

I had to share this with you ladies. I put it on my blog right after it happened LOL

We've been working on potty-training our 17 month old. She uses her potty almost any time we put her on it, and if she has an accident in her diaper she usually announces it. We're so proud of her!

This morning, she pottied. We celebrated, as is customary in our household these days, and I brought her to her toys. I left her diaperless while I cleaned her potty...

Less than 30 seconds later, I go back in...that's where things get a little poopy.

There was poop everywhere. I do mean all over the floor, smudged in the carpet. She had a handful and was squishing it. Ewww.

How did this happen so darn fast? I was gone for like 2 seconds!!! What should I clean up first?

I grabbed her and brought her to the bathroom. In the meantime, the dog was in Emma's room sniffing around. I can't be sure, but I'm pretty sure he ate some of the evidence...Ewww!

So, I was trying to call him out of her room and take care of the baby at the same time.

Then, I realize she's got poop on her foot and has smeared it on the bathroom floor.

Did she kick her poop or something??? Side story: There's a body of water in TX called the Kickapoo Creek. Well, Emma's new nickname is Kickapoo.

At any rate, I swiftly put her in the tub and cleaned her off as best I could. Then I put her on the potty.

Fortunately, she sat there while I cleaned up her carpet, the bathroom floor and the tub - there was poop EVERYWHERE!!!

She did use the potty while she was sitting there, so that's good. Then she took a nice thorough bath and now she's napping.

Oh, what a morning!
I just hope by putting her in the potty, maybe I reinforced something!

Lol! I had a similar experience not that long ago. My DS who is 17mo , and far from potty training. Well one morning (Fathers Day to be exact) I walk in to my sons room to find him painting his crib and himself with his poop. He was dipping his hands into the back of his diaper! Soooo gross. There was poop everywhere! And since then he has had the nickname Poopcaso. As in Pacaso, lol. I've tried to introduce him to "other" art mediums besides his poop, such as pudding, and finger paints. Lol! Oh and since then he is ALWAYS in a Onsie! Lol. I do not need another episode of poop painting. Ahhh the joys of parenthood!

And what's really crazy is how they can paint with their own poop with a smile on their face!! Gotta love them! I was trying not to laugh because she honestly had no clue that was a no-no lol
