HELP!!! I am at my wit's end with potty training. My daughter will be 4 in a couple weeks. For the past year we have been struggling with potty training. She knows what to do because sometimes we could go a week or so with no accidents.
I've tried rewarding when she does make it in time, discipline when she doesn't, not making a big deal out of it either way, and pretty much anything in between I could think of. It seems like just when I think we've found a system that works and she has been accident free for a few days, maybe even a couple weeks, then for whatever reason it stops working and she starts having accidents again.
She is very intelligent and is advanced in most of the other developmental milestones but I think it is WAY past time when she should have been completely potty trainined and am starting to get worried that there may be something wrong with her.
I don't know what else to do and while I keep telling myself not to worry about it so much, I find that I my patience is tested more often and I don't enjoy spending time with her as much as I should because I am so frustrated over my lack of continued progress in getting her to use the potty on a regular basis.
