If he won't stay in it why not keep him confined as in crib or pack n play? *scratches head*

At that age, I would stay until they went to sleep. Both of my boys could climb out of cribs at that age, so that's when we switched them to big boy beds. But both of them stayed in their beds pretty well.

Consistency. He is young. Your only choice is to keep putting him in his bed SuperNanny style. We put out dd in a queen at 19 months. It just takes time and patience.
*she is now 23 months and stays in her bed till morning. When I come in she is always sitting up on her bed saying "hi mommy"

Just keep putting him/her back in. My DDs moved to a twin bed at 12months and 14months because they were climbing out of their cribs...It took some training to get them to stay in their beds. It's all about determination and consistency.

Maybe her LO is climbing out of the crib? Mine climbed out at 10mo, 12mo, and 14mo. They were no longer safe in their cribs, and moved to beds. Do you know what can happen to a kiddo if they fall from crib-height?

If they're climbing out of the crib, it's not "making them grow too fast". It's keeping them from falling on their heads. LOL.

My dd has been in a full sized bed since 14 months. Some babies are ready sooner. Keep putting him back in the bed every time he gets out.
