Today's activity will keep your kids cool and it's something you'll be able to reuse! Make your kids a sponge ball, grab a bucket of water, and watch them have a blast. These sponge balls are also a hit in the bathtub!

One lucky member who participates in today's activity will receive a CafeMom Tote Bag!

Materials Needed:
  Sponges
Twine, dental floss, or rubber bands
  Scissors

Directions:

Cut your sponges into three strips.

Stack your sponges three pieces high. I only did two layers, but you can add more to make your sponge ball bigger.

Squeeze the sponges together and add a twist. Tie your twine or dental floss (or wrap your rubber band) around the center.

'

Cut off the extra twine (or floss) and fluff out the pieces.

Do your kids have toys that are strictly for the bath or do they play with them throughout the house? What are some of their favorite bath toys?

This looks so cool! My DD has a watering can in the tub and some animals she plays with. A favorite is having the animals "dive" off the spicot into the water.

This is so cool, both my kids had fun firest helping me in making it and then playing with it "outside the house". I prefer to keep all the water realted fun activities outside - it's more fun for me and for them. Don't have to worry about cleaning any water:-))

These are a cool idea, I will have to pick some of those sponges up the next time I'm at the grocery store! I'm sure they would love to use them in their water table or in the tub. They both like playing with barbies in the bathtub.
