My son is 5 years old and he will starting school in 2 weeks.. He's still not fully potty trained yet, he wears underwear in the daytime and he sleeps in an overnite pull up.. I've tried everything i don't know what else to do he will sit on the toilet for an hour and he won't do nothing. When get's up i say about 10 minutes later he pisses everywhere!! Please help.. His father isn't in the picture so it's just me, my mom, and my sister. I will not keep him out of school and he has to have speech therapy.

I wouldn't worry about the nighttime. There isn't anything you can do the *make* a child stay dry at night.

Does your son have any issues? Sensory? Autism spectrum?

What do you do when he pees in his pants?

It's possible your son has low sensory awareness, making it hard for him to understand his body's signals.  It is not common for kids on the autism spectrum to take longer to master toileting.  If you think your son is failing to toilet due to anxieties, you may need to try some incentives to help him past his fears.

Two of my kids are on the autism spectrum and had several toileting accidents during elementary school.  We had a great school nurse who had me keep a spare change of clothes for my kids at school.  If they couldn't change their clothes on their own, then she'd call me to come help them.  If your school can't provide that kind of help informally, you may need to get an IEP (individualized education plan) that provides accommodations for your sons needs (does he already have an IEP for speech?).

Good luck.
