I really need some suggestions my now 4 yr old son bites his nails, but he bites them so low the nail is almost all gone. We tell him he can get little worms that grow in the nail, we even showed him pictures. But I have a boy so now every day he asks when are the worms gonna grow in my fingers.

so can anyone please tell me what else I can do.

They make a gross tasting polish to put on the nails to deter bitting.

I don't have any advice cuz my son does it too and I was a nail biter myself.  Apparently it's genetic.  Talk to your pedi or your dentist.  I would caution against telling him things you know to be false because when it doesn't happen you lose credibility and your children need to believe what you say.

Here's the link to the product. It does work. I used it about 25yrs ago when I used to bite my nails. I do not bite my nails to this day.
