Nervous

So my youngest son is 19 months old & since he was 15 months he's been going to rehab twice a week for occupational, physical & speech therapy. He wasn't sitting up, crawling or eating anything but baby bananas. If we tried any other foods he would gag like crazy. Well since then he's now crawling, sitting up for a good few minutes, cruising and eating 15+ foods. Well about a month ago his occupational therapist asked if my son had seen a neurologist and I said no. Well at his 18minth check up I mentioned it to the dr we saw, wasn't his but I like her. She told me she would talk to his dr and see what he wanted to do and call me to let me know. That was June 11th. As I'm leaving from dropping my older 2 off at mother's day out I get a call from his doctors office saying he has an appt with a dr 4 hours away on the 29th to see a pediatric neurologist. At first I was thinking, this is great. We can finally see if there's something wrong causing his mobility delays... But now I'm scared. Not looking forward to the trip, I wish a dr in our town took his insurance so we wouldn't have to drive so far. I'm nervous for him...

Chin up! Just remember the improvements your son has made going to OT!   I'm sure that seeing a neurologist will also help him immensely! It's fantastic that he's going and you can have some answers and guidance. Also, if there is something more going on with him, he'll get the help he needs to continue to improve.
Good luck! Hope the appointment goes well!

Things will be okay. At least you will have answers and know exactly what you should be doing for him.
