On a 4 yr old boy. But that's what his pants look like. That or he's waiting for a flood. He's petite. But he's getting taller and his waist is still tiny. He has to wear 2t pants for his waist but now needs 3t for his height. Even the adjustable jeans adjusted all the way tight fall off him. Sweat pants with elastic waists fit about the best. My skinny little thing.

Awww - poor little thing.  I totally feel for you. I have a 2.6 year old who I have trouble dressing.  Good thing that she's a girl and I can just put a dress and tights on her.  :)

I know this is totally 70's but what about a border on the pants... Don't know if you can do that with boys - I've got a couple of really, really, cute swathes of material for my DDs pants.

Yeah my son would totally do that too.

My daughter is the same way. I was so happy when I found the adjustable waist pants. We tried a belt but it just became a weapon. We had to hide it. She thought it was fun to use it as a laso

Well I got out all the 3T pants and adjusted the ones I could as much as I could. They're still a little big in the waist but not falling down at least.

I first saw them on a flash sale site (babysteals I think) but you can buy them on their website or a local consignment shop also carries them, I noticed. Oh and their website has a listing of stores that may be local to you.

Quoting calvinsmommy18:

No I havnt seen them. Where do you get them?

Quoting Marz31:

Have you seen those little belt-like things that go just on the back of the pants (with belt loops that is). they're called dapper snappers and that would cinch the waist without creating the potty issue.

That's how my son is too. He's really tall but stick thin. I have to buy his jeans at Old Navy most of the time or get the softer pants that tie.

I totally sympathize...I LOVE summer because my girls can wear shorts/skirts/capris and length doesn't matter. My 3yo fits an 18mo waist...my 6yo can still wear a lot 2T/3T. I have to be careful with skirts and shorts because they get too short...but they stay up so taht's AWESOME!!! They both need their size or a size bigger in length....so I hate winter. And we have about 8-9 months of pants-weather here. *sigh*...... All I can say is Crazy8 -- they have size SLIM jeans starting at a size 4!! And those are adjustable waist. Love them. Also try Arizona at JCP, they have slims starting at a 4 or 5 too, and are adjustable waist! :)
