Chores?

I have 5 year old twins, a 2 1/2 year old and 1 year old twins.  I am trying to come up with a chore list for them.  Nothing huge, just somethings they can start doing around the house.  Do you have chore list for your kids?  What are some of the chores you have them do?

DS has some chores he just does (no pay) like picking up toys, putting his dishes in the dishwasher, etc.

He also has a list of chores he can choose to do for money. We use Norwex cloths (no need for chemicals that way). He uses them to clean the bathroom, wipe down baseboards, etc. He also likes to vacuum and mop!

DD is 3 1/2 and we haven't been very good yet about giving her chores. She puts her clothes in the hamper and small things like that.

My 3 1/2 year old has chores pick up her toys, vacuum, stack up her DVDs,pick up her dirty clothes and put them in the dirty clothes basket, put the dishes in the dishwasher if she does her chores she get to pick one toy while we are
shopping.I think it's good to give them chores while their young it help install good learning skills and values .I helped my mom was I was 3 she use to let me stand up in a chair while she wash dishes and I will dry them I would help put clothes on the line we didn't use a vacuum we swept the floor. I think the kids have it easier because we have electronical stuff to help them clean so its not really chores the vacuum cleaner is doing it for them and the dishwasher.

I don't have a set chore list.  I don't really believe in set chores for my house.  They are just expected to help out because they are part of the family.

Some things we ask my 3 year old to do are:  put shoes in the closet, pick up toys, any sippy cups lying around get put in the sink, throwing trash away.

For my 5 year old:  cleaning toys, cleaning his room, shoes away.  The things he does voluntarily are:  vacuuming, taking garbage and recycle to the garage, weeding, pulling the cans to the curb on garbage day.

No set chores here.

But I do ask my 4 and 6 year olds to help me pick up any messes they've made (like toys).

To take any dishes they've dirtied to the kitchen sink.

And they both like to help me unload the dishwasher and put their own clothes away, but those things I don't force them to do I ask them if they want to help and they say yes probably 2/3 of the time.

I have a 2.5 year old and when she was able to pick up toys and put them away that was her chore. It was around 1-ish. I know she probably didn't fully understand that what she was doing was a "chore" but that was when started. Now she "gets to help" load the dishwasher, unload it, and she helps put laundry in the washer and she likes to push the buttons to turn them all on. We also have just started showing her how to feed and water the dogs.

Thank you ladies.  My kids are required to pick up and such. I am just trying to get more organized and thought a list would help.  Thanks again
