How long do you "age" in months for??? My son just turned one!
A lady at the park, who I see often when I take my son, refers to her daughter as 42 months.
At first I was like ... What lol.

Depends if I am talking to a parent or not. Lately I've just been saying one and a half.

I stop at 2 or shortly before. IMO, if you have to do math in your head to figure out their age in years, just say the years. Hearing "my kid is 34 months" to me is even worse than hearing "my kid is 13 1/2".

I'll probably stop by 2. DS is 18 months. For some people, I just say a year and a half. To family/other moms, 18 months makes sense. Hearing a kid is 42 months just makes me mad that I have to do math! Lol!
