Have you taken your child to see a movie at a theater?
If so, how old were they the first time you took them?

We have a projector in our family room so when we pull the screen down & put on a movie it's like going to the theater

DS is 17 months. He watched finding nemo for about 30 second a few times during the movie. Other than that, he just played.

However I may take him to a movie so he gets used to sitting in a seat for awhile since we are flying with him across the country for the holidays

We took DD to see TS3 when she was around 2 maybe? she didn't last and DH missed the last 20 minutes with her in the lobby. We've taken her to a few others and then we took her last night to Finding Nemo 3D and she lasted 20 minutes (She's 4 next month) so that'll be it for a while, a few years probably. The manager was kind enough to give us readmittance passes since we didn't even make it halfway thru, totally not necessary but appreciated.

DD1 will be 3.5 next month and she has yet to go to a movie. I'm thinking she'll be better off waiting until 4+ to go.

Only when we were sure they would sit in their seats and knew not to talk. Our son was four the first time he went, I think my sister was seven or eight, not because she wasn't good, but because we just didn't go to the movies much (I'm my siblings guardian).

DS will be 2 this month & I plan on taking him to Nemo 3D.  I know it may not go well, but I figure since it's a kid-friendly movie there will be more kids in the theater too.

We did take him to the drive in this summer.  We had to put him in his car seat during the movie because he kept changing the radio station for the movie & messing with the volume.  But, once we did that he sat, ate popcorn & watched the movie.

2 moms liked this

Araceli's first time ever in a movie theater was this past Friday! We went to see Finding Nemo in 3D, and we had a blast!! She turns 4 in about two months.

Here we are. :)
