My son keeps picking at his face and then picking the scabs making it last forever. I havents seen anything on his skin prior to him picking at it causing scabs. Any ideas? Or is it just zits? He's 3 next month. Pic in replies since I'm mobile.

Could just be a rash. My 2 year old picks any abnormality on his skin till they bleed. no idea how to stop it

It could be a staph infection or impetigo. I'd take him to a dr just to be sure.

Could be any number of things.  Does he keep a band aid on?  Is it itchy or does it hurt him have you asked.  That might give you an indication if he got a bug bite that he continues to play with, a pimple which is possible or something else.  Never hurts to take the kiddo to the Dr. if you can afford to do so.  Better to be on the safe side and make sure it's nothing serious.

I have no idea.  Maybe ask his pediatrician.

My daughter gets little white bumps on her face...kind of like zits. Maybe he gets those and picks at them? I would keep those little circle band aids on the scabs so he stops picking.

My son gets those on his face and his arms too. Any idea as to how to prevent them. I've noticed they don't go away till they have been squeezed but they do tend to bleed a lot if you wait and leave them for awhile before squeezing them.

I used to get them when I was younger too. I'm not sure what you can do for them...I just leave them alone. I don't get them anymore.

Idk Momma, LOs often pick scabs b/c they're fascinated by them lol. I know loads of my daycare babies do!
