Today's activity has two parts and will keep your kids busy for a while. You start off outside and then bring the fun indoors!
Toilet Paper Rolls
Rocks or Buttons
Twigs or pipe cleaners
Googly Eyes (you can also draw and cut out eyes)
Optional Supplies (construction paper, glitter, pom poms)
We started this activity by going outside to gather leaves, twigs, and small rocks. We haven't had a lot of leaves fall off the trees yet, so this is a good activity to do again in another month!
After my son collected his twigs, leaves, and rocks, we went inside to start assembling our leaf people. I pre cut holes in the sides of the toilet paper roll so it was easier to stick the pipe cleaners and twigs in.
Here's the finish project! My kids got such a kick out of our leaf people. They played with them like finger puppets and gave them names!
What's your favorite thing about fall? Have the leaves started changing colors or falling off the trees where you live?
