Clothing issues

Has anyone had a two year old who is very picky about what they wear?  There's just certain thing he doesn't like, and will throw a fit for hours if I put it on him.  I'm letting him pick his own clothes right now, but my concern is buying the clothes.  Do I take him with me?  I guess I will have to spend more, instead of shopping clearance stuff, but if I buy something and he won't wear it, that's a waste of money.  I don't know if I can buy stuff for the future anymore, he might not like it by then.  I can't find anyone who has dealt with the stuff I go through with my son, everything is a fight with him.

My older guy is like that. If he doesn't like something, I will have him wear it and then he gets to pick what he wears the next day. My younger guy has almost all hang me downs. He gets over not liking something.

Is it the texture? The pattern? The color? My DD(4) has sensory processing disorder and can throw FITS over clothes.

There's a little boy that my DD1 went to school with and he had sensory problems and one day I noticed his shoes looked tore up, the velcro didn't even stick together, so I went and bought him a pair IDENTICAL to the one's he had, after which his mom was telling me he gets emotionally attached to his shoes and even the identical one's would upset him.

Let him pick stuff from clearance. My kids pick their own clothes to wear from what I buy. I let them have some say if they are with me. So far there hasn't been to much they refused to wear

He can't tell me why he doesn't want to wear it.  He just yells NO and puts it back, idk.

I have the same issues.  Caden cannot stand tags, long sleeves or poloshirts.  And I take him with me when we go shopping :/..  Typically we can start off in teh clearance section, but I allow him a few more expensive things too :/.  But I know what you mean, it does make shopping difficult.  I HAVE to take him with me.

My daughter is like that. Has been since around 4. She refuses to wear things I buy and I used to return them.  Then I said enough!  I make her wear what I pick out, even if she throws a fit.    I'm the boss! Nip it now because it will only get worse when they start school and you are battling with them over clothes and running late!
