story of the nanny and the two childrens lives she took

Posted by   + Show Post

i am seriously heart broken. after keeping up with the updates from the new york nanny that stabbed two children in her care to death.

if you havent heard then the news states. the mother came home from taking her daughter to swim lessons when she searched for her children who were supposed to meet them at the pool. when she asked around everyone said they havent seem the nanny or the kids. she went back upstairs to find her two children 2 and 6 stabbed to death in their bath tub. nanny bleeding on the floor. the thing that got me the most was that the nanny began stabbing herself AS THE MOTHER WALKED INTO THE BATHROOM!! she lived and is in critical but stable condition.

i have never been one for nannies but have nothing against them. but this story makes any mother run home and hug their children.what would you have done? the mother was said to have screamed a scream so heart wrenching that more then one neighbor called 911. she was treated for trauma at the hospital. my heart goes out to her. i cant imagine how this is effecting her. they treating this woman as one of the family. even going as far as visiting her country of Dominican Republic.

i had to talk to someone about this because it weighs heavy on my heart. no mother should have to go through this!

Im amazed at how many of you are like "thats why i never leave my children with someone i dont trust" . This wasnt a vicious, hateful murder. The nanny had mental problems and that can happen to anyone. It can happen to your mom, your sister, your MIL, yourself. It has nothing to do with the fact that she was a nanny. Hell there are way more sad horrible news stories of mothers killing their own children!

This makes me sick to think about. My oldest is 6, my youngest is 2. I can't imagine something like that happening to them. At those ages, they would have been perfectly aware of what was happening and would have struggled... And to have to watch your sibling die? Those poor babies :(

I don't know how I would move on from finding my children like that.

THe only sitter I use is my mil and if we lived closer to my parents and kids aunt they would be allowed to as well. But other than that, my kids have never been in daycare, had a different sitter, or had a nanny. I cannot even imagine what this poor mother is going through. I think I would crawl into a ball and die with my babies.

Oh and its NOT her fault, and yes it could happen to me as well I guess, and I am not blaming her.

the woman was mentally ill.  OBVIOUSLY someone in their right mind would not kill two children for no reason.  it is absolutely horrible what she did, but i cant help and feel sorry for the nanny as well.  she needs serious ongoing treatment :(

i know everyone will jump my ass and say she "deserves" to rot in hell, but i personally do not think people who have mental health issues fully understand the impact of their actions or else they wouldnt do something awful like this to begin with.  there was no reason for her to do this.  this wasnt a crime of passion, this was a sick, sick woman who had a horrific break from reality.  its just so sad for every single person involved.  i will be praying for them all.

she was a nanny since the two year old was about to be born. so almost three years. and she was introduced to the family through mutual friends.

they truely trusted her. they traveled to her country and met her family. spent nine days in the dominican republic. they looked at her as a family member. it is so tragic and heart breaking. it seemed like she wanted to die. she slit her wrists and then stabbed herself in the throat. i would have omg i cant even think about it
