Bleeding - Pregnancy Question

Hi ladies, I just found out yesterday that my SIL is pregnant..She took a test Wed. and it was positive, Thursday she had some bleeding and went to the ER, they did a test there and it was postive, did internal and external U/S and didn't see anything, her levels were only 26. Now, her bleeding is on and off light/medium - not as heavy as a period, and she has no pains. When she told me all of this my first thought was possibly implantation bleeding, because her levels were so low and they didn't see anything. I didn't have bleeding like this with my pregnancies, but I know many women do. So, I was wondering if any of you can tell me about your experiences or what you think? Oh, She took another test today (that was negative last time she took it) and it was positive today. Would her levels drop if she was miscarrying? Thanks in advance for any advice, info! :)

Dropping levels can indicate miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy. I wish her the best

I bled with both pgs.  More so with my 2nd and they had me come in for 2 additional blood tests to test my levels.  Once they were increasing as expected I stopped the tests but they put me on "pelvic rest" (no exercise, no sex) until the bleeding stopped.  I have 2 beautiful healthy babies!!!!

If her HCG levels aren't increasing at the expected increments OR are decreasing then, yes, unfortunately she is miscarrying.  She's too early for an u/s.  Heartbeat usually can't be detected until 6 weeks.

Best to your SIL.  I'm sure she's worried but right now, all she can do is rest and wait to see what her blood draws have to say.  Hugs to her.

I bled with my first two pregnancies for 12 weeks.  Only spotting with the third one for a couple of weeks. If she is miscarrying, her levels would drop.
