Toys R Us Trade-In Program

Has anyone ever done this?

We are going to trade in an old car seat and get my Kinder a high back booster.  Do we need to have the old car seat cleaned and stuff?  It's rarely used anymore (we use it for my DD in my hubby's car) so it may have some crumbs in it but nothing horrible.  I just wasn't sure if I should do a full clean on it before we turn it in.

Don't need to clean it because it just gets recycled.  We traded one of our old seats in last year to get our youngest a new seat.

You can take it in in any shape. Then they give you a coupon

no need to clean it. it's going to be trashed. just bring it in and take it to customer service. :)

if you look at their website they have a list of what items are excepted  and what you can get. it is basically a way to keep unsafe baby gear from being used. we traded in our drop side crib for my daughters new crib and also brought in an old stroller to get a new bouncer. :)

Do they do this every year around this time?

I never have.

I do have an infant car seat I could take in, but I need to check if it's one of the items they accept.

They accept all brands. You can only GET certain items for our trade.

It's a great program.  I wanted to do this but needed a new car seat sooner.  I think they do it a couple times a year.  Great thing to do!
