Toddlers & Preschoolers Toddlers & Preschoolers
Tonight when dh was putting our 3.5yo ds to bed, ds told dh that today they (himself and his brother) went to "other daddy's" house, that they had to walk there, and that they didn't want to go. Ds also said that "other daddy" is mean and that he bit Jackson (18 month ds) on the face.

Obviously the story isn't true. Ds also said something to me today about "other daddy" when he was playing and I just brushed it off...I just don't really know how to handle this? It concerned my husband quite a bit and neither of us really know what to do.

I know kids hit a "story-telling" phase but this story isn't very nice.

My daughter will create her own stories from movies and shows lol she will mix up a few and it gets pretty interesting. I know everything she watches so its cute to hear her creations, she will usually act it out with stuffed animals or dolls.

My 3 year old is always telling stories. She works at a job in the city and lives in Brooklyn she travels by herself each day and her best friends are lions. Ur child could've overheard a conversation and his imagination ran away with it.

I agree

This.

I would be concerned if my kids ever told a story like that.

Thats a really weird story for a little one to come up with on their own.

Ask him why he told you that story and where did he get the idea?

Wow! That's quite a story. I wouldn't know what to do with that. :/
