Join the club, buddy lol.  My 2 year old will "skate" on my wood floors in her poop and fingerpaint with it, and I think she may have eaten a little as well. I just didn't want to know about the last one so I didn't check too closely.   I've been told it's a phase they go through and it may indicate that she is ready to potty train.  It has gotten better since I've started training, so there is light at the end of the tunnel....I hope.

Welcome to the club! My dd,2, 'paints' her walls. She used to take her diaper off, we started taping them. She would dig through the legs. She hates poop but refuses to use the potty. I know her signs so I just watch for her to poop. At Naptime, I keep her door open and make sure she is asleep, then when I know it's time for her to wake up, I am in her room as soon as she does. We continuously tell her, no naughty. Doc said she'll out grow it. It's become less frequent now but I still watch like crazy!
Footless jammies are a good trick, either on backwards or the zipper pinned from the inside.
You are not alone! It sucks but they will grow out of it!
