Shingles at 3?!

My son got diagnosed with shingles last Wednesday. He's only 3! He got meds and finished them Sunday. He got new red spots last night and today they are starting to fill. His Dr said just to keep it covered and they didn't want to give him any more meds. Also, they said it can just reoccur often. Not to thrilled about this. Anyone have experience with young kids having shingles?

With the vaccine you don't have to have chicken pox first

I had them in jr high. They come out with stress and are something you can have the rest of your life.

My dd had them at 1.5 yrs old. Once you either have chicken pox or the chicken pox vaccine you can get them anytime at any age.
