Are you a competitive parent?

Do you always try to compare your LO's to others to see who did what first?

no, not now.  when my son was little, i would definitely look around at kids his age and compare to see if he was behind on things but never bragged about things he did early.   now with 2 (and one of each gender) i recognize that all kids have their strengths and weaknesses.

I try not to. If I do, it is not intentional.  My kids don't do anything super duper early anyway lol.

No.  There is no point because competition should be about things you can control, not growth and development which is going to happen when it happens.

My SIL is since our kids are 4 weeks in age difference.

It drives em nuts.  Or course your kid will most likely walk, talk and get teeth before mine.

But Hay, my kid has a Full Head of hair that i can already style and put in ponies.  Your Girl is Bald!!!

No, not at all. My first DD was the last of her friends to potty train, she still cant ride a 2-wheeler and the poor thing hasnt even lost any teeth yet (she will be 7 in June). She seems to be a late bloomer. But I say, let her be a kid for as long as she wants.
