If someone called you up right now and wanted to stop over for a visit, is your house clean or would you be embarrassed by the mess?

Amazingly yes its visit ready. I would need to do a 5 minute run through but overall yes.

I always do a 5 minute rub through before company anyways though. You never know in our house of 6. (My bro lives with us)

No :(.  Oddly enough, we've had company over for 3 weeks straight :/.  Not happy about it, but that's the actual cause for our disorganiztion right now!

Beyond that.....its usually presentable even for the President (if he can stand some mail on the dining table...and homework......and a fridge full of artwork :)).

It depends on who's coming. If it was a friend or family member that I'm close with then yeah it's fine. But if it was someone I'm not too close with or someone that's coming for the first time then I'd want to do a few things...

Not ready. I'd have to fold laundry, do dishes and vacuum. Oh, and sweep. Light some candles to smell it up, and get rid of the DVDs and games on the tv stand that no one knows how to put away

Considering the mess is from the toddler's toys, yes. My kitchen always looks messy even whenit's clean because it's so small. It's always cluttered looking. :/
