You should give them a high five!
That's what I had told a 4yo who proclaimed to be "In love" with my 5yo son and threatened to kiss him.
I know some people find that interaction as 'cute' but people really need to teach their kids what's appropriate and what's not.

Agreed. We had to tell my son to quit telling a little girl his age that he was going to marry her because it was making her uncomfortable. I didn't know that he was doing it. He had told me a few times he was in love with her, so I mentioned it to his mom when they were moving in nearby, and she mentioned it. yeah, it's cute that he's got a crush, but not appropriate.

I don't like kids kissing on the mouth.  My kids don't do it and they know not to let others do it to them.

That's a nice way of putting it.  I don't think my son has managed to have a "crush" yet.  He seems to like all of his classmates and gives them all hugs LOL.  I don't know if that's normal or not, but he does.

my kids like giving each other hugs and kisses but not on the lips.
