Toddlers & Preschoolers Toddlers & Preschoolers

My son is turning two this week and I get such a kick out of his speech. Today I FINALLY figured out that "da dice!" means "Not nice!" Seems so clear now I don't know why it took me so long to figure that one out. haha

What are some of your toddlers more difficult phrases to understand?

For months now, my 19mo DS would talk about Bobby all the time. We dont know any Bobbies. So much so I was afraid DH thought I was having an affair. Until one day at daycare, he pointed to a girl the babysitter calls Baby Aubry (there's 2 Aubrys). He's combining Baby Aubry into Baubry. I get it now!

My 2 year old says "bop" instead of "stop", "rock pop" for lolly pop, and "Fifi" when referring to her baby sister Sophia... amoung many other Celeste-isms as I call them

I thought I put this one in a reply but now I don't see it..."hee hoo."

My boy was saying "hee hoo" everytime we gave him something for weeks before we figured out it was his first word, "thank you."
