No, not strict. They eat too much of it.

1 mom liked this

I'm strict in the sense that they get what I give them and no more than that.  We allow them a little something after lunch or dinner IF they eat what is asked and we have anything in the house.  I don't really buy cookies or candy so most of what they have is doled out from events we go to.  Easter candy lasts weeks in my house and Halloween candy lasts months!  I also have a bag of dum dums that are default.

We are looser about how much they can have at special occassions/parties.

I don't buy alot of candy at the store because I feel they don't need it. On Halloween they are allowed to have a couple of pieces then I put it in my room, and each day afterwards they get a couple pieces until its gone.

We don't buy a lot, but we give them a couple pieces maybe once a week?

Halloween is a free for all once we've looked over all the candy and pulled out the extra chewy stuff.

Sort of....my toddler is allergic to milk so that's in away all chocolate and candy. So he gets a small amount of certain candies - like jelly beans and candy corn and a bite or two of milk free dark chocolate.

He gets mango sorbet or milk free cookie about once a week when we go to a certain market.

No, not at all.

But with that said my kids will pick fruit over junk.any day. Mostly my 5 yr old though. Lol
