When did your child stop

Crying  at bedtime? My soon to be 5 year old (in May) DD cries almost every night after I say goodnight and give kisses. If I ask her why, she says "I don't know."  Just wondering if anyone else has a little one doing this and what you did to nip in quick in the bud. Thanks :)

I'm not sure when exactly my DD stopped. I think it was 3 or 4. For her it was just a way to self sooth during the transition to bed time (and nap time until about 2.5). She never had a pacifier or special blanket so that's what worked for her.

Going to bump because I have no advice.  My kids have always done pretty good at bedtime. Good luck. They all had their moments, but for the most part did good.  Try a reward system??? Hang in there.

My son hasn't really ever done that. Maybe set an alarm, and let her know that when the alarm goes off it's time for bed?

My son has never cried at bedtime. My dd would go thru phases every few months that lasted 3 or 4 days at a time. They started maybe around 18 months and stopped around 3 1/2 or 4.

We coslept for a while and since i started putting them in their beds I stay in their room until they fall asleep. Usually within a half an hour.
