Toddler fears

As of this week my 2yr old Brigid is afraid to walk across our front porch. It's wood and made of slats os there are small gaps between each one but no where big enough for her to fall through, not even big enough for her foot to go into maybe a toe if she was bare foot. She has no problem doing stairs in fact she loves doing them. She'll walk up our front steps but freaks out once she gets to the top of them. She'll stop and start asking me to pick her up to carry her across the porch to the door. If I try to get her to walk she cries and says she's scared.

Not sure what to do with this or how to get her back to walking across the porch on her own.

She'll probably grow out of it. I have a 3yo and sometimes he goes through phases like that. It'll pass.

I would keep encouraging her to try, maybe start a sticker chart and give her one every time she does it :)

I agree that in time she will grow out of it.
