I am debating between a co-op, which idea I love, and a preschool with a science focused curriculum. Anyone go co-op and love/hate it?

I did co-op when my oldest son was 3 & 4. I really enjoyed it because I was able to be there. When my 17 mo old is ready, we will do it again.

BUMP for answers. I'm also debating a similar choice.

I have several friends who do co-ops and love them! I personally didn't want to put in the time- the ones around here require the parent to do one day at the school and one day at a parent-education class every week. For me, the whole point of preschool was to get some free time for myself! I was also VERY uncomfortable with all of those parents having open access to my child on the days I wasn't at the school. I don't want random parents watching my kid! I trust teachers who have early childhood education and have been background-checked.
