What language to speak?

My 3 year old is of mixed races. I speak both languages. Her daddy says he prefers to speak his language at home because our daughter will learn English when she goes to school. I speak both languages to her and she seems to pick up more English. I want her to be able to speak both languages.
Anyone care to share their experiences?

I grew up in a home where German was the only language spoken. I didn't start learning English until I was close to 7 years old. It was terrible in school. I was bullied a lot due to my lack of English. Personally, I would continue using both languages.

I would continue using both languages. I think it will help in the long run.

No, teach her both. She needs to know english in school, it will make it so much better when she starts school. Allow her to learn both dont focus on either. Dont worry if she not picking up on it as fast as other kids her age. Shes learning 2 while most learn only 1.
