My DD was getting into a rut of making bad choices (normal 4 yr old things) so I started a good girl chart and it's worked wonders. She gets a sticker for making good choices, being a good listener, etc. The visual positive reinforcement has helped her so much.

Sometimes.... For example, when I have to run to the grocery store or an errand after picking my daughter up at the end of the day, if she is good, no fussy, I don't have to chase her through the store, I let her pick out a treat. She also gets them if she doesn't cry and scream after washing and combing through her hair. Lol.. she has a lot of curly hair (it's as big as she is) and I have to comb it in sections before putting it braids or ponytails.
